Tom Szczerbowski is a freelance photographer for Getty Images and USA Today. He has photographed teams including the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays.
"I have been working as a freelance photographer for 15 years on both an editorial and commercial basis while primarily covering sports events for Getty Images and USA Today. The main challenge is to capture peak action, players’ reactions, and tell the story of the game through images while also being able to visually communicate a distinctive perspective. The camera, of course, is my vehicle for unleashing my creativity and, even though I don’t use clay or paint, I am believe that I am nonetheless an artist."
