The human figure realistically presented in actual or constructed space informs the work of John Krygsman. A product of Bealart, one of the oldest art schools in London, Ontario, Canada, John studied under the likes of Herb and Margot Ariss, John O’Henley, Bert Kloezeman, and Bevan Ling. Choosing a family life first, he later went on to earn his B.A., B.ED., and teacher credentials at University of Toronto leading to a long career back at Bealart. Here he was heavily involved in teaching life drawing and sculpture while quietly producing a body of figurative drawing, painting, and sculpture. John Krygsman was late to come to profile in the gallery and exhibiting art scene, but remains committed to realistic presentation of the human figure.
