Glass is an exploration.
I spend a lot of time observing, thinking, percolating ideas. I try not to have too many preconceived ideas so that I remain open to moments of inspiration, even genius.
From fragments of images, gathered material, walks in nature, comes a frenzy of spontaneous creativity.
Each time I open the kiln, it is a thrill to see that after I have assembled my piece, the glass brings my vision to life.
Glass has been made from base earth elements for thousands of years. Each small piece tells its own unique story from its wanderings and previous lives in the world.
