NANCY MOORE graduated from George Brown (Toronto) Graphic Design Program majoring in Advertising. Since 1997 she has been the co-owner of Seastar Images Inc. a graphics company located in Ajax, and although still involved in the graphic design industry, her passion has always been fine art. Nancy is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Society of Canadian Artists, Ontario Society of Artists and Artist Network, Toronto.
KIM REMPEL is a visual artist living in Grimsby, Ontario. After graduating from Sheridan College’s Illustration program Rempel worked as a graphic designer. In the early 2000s she traded the computer for the paintbrush and began working primarily as a plein air painter. In 2009 Rempel joined the ranks of daily painters (the practice of creating a small works daily and posting them to a blog). She continued this practice until 2013 when she moved into abstract painting. Colour relationships fuel her work. What does this stroke look like against that stroke? How does colour mixing inform the mood of a painting? These questions excite Kim and propel her to keep investigating and creating.
TRACY BULTJE is inspired by the natural world as a space of immersion, conversation and resolution. She is drawn into the chaos of converging shape and colour, and the moments of contemplation that lie therein. Through a lens of faith and hope, Tracy make sense of the chaos in our world and presents a resolution on her canvas in the form of a landscape imbued with poetic metaphors for the human condition. Colour is her voice and the patterns that emerge in her paintings demonstrate the refinement of chaos into order.
