When Carol Finkbeiner Thomas moved to London, she began taking many different art courses from a variety of teachers. Craig Marucci recommended Kim Harrison’s painting lessons to Carol which she then pursued without any prior painting experience. Carol continued taking lessons with Kim for seven years.
“Kim appealed to my sense of drawing and mark making when painting. He brought structure and historical technique to my work and a sense of pulling from painting traditions of the past. Kim gives my work more structure, which I need.
Kim is well read and has thought a great deal about painting and the direction he wants to work in. He is a really generous instructor with his time and his knowledge, and he is the most lovely person. Patient, quick to laugh.”
As a teacher herself since 1994, Carol has had the opportunity to learn many different media, which she then passes on to her students.
